The Pitt

The Pitt is one of the best medical dramas - indeed, one of the best dramas - in years. I have a feeling I’ve rarely experienced since HBO’s The Wire went off air, of watching a group of professionals navigate a system that is rarely in their favour, and the personal cost of existing within that system. Much ink has been spilled on the show’s commitment to medical accuracy, and that certainly helps the versimilitude here, but the real focus is on the humans, patient and doctor alike, living through the worst days of their lives, and (mostly) coming out the other side, scathed but triumphant.
